Renner brings more than 30 years of experience in public education and education leadership to OKPSF, a nonprofit organization that champions investment in public schools across the state.

Formed through partnerships with the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence and the Oklahoma State School Boards Association, OKPSF facilitates and raises awareness of the tax credits created by Oklahoma’s Equal Opportunity Education Act. The act incentivizes direct investment in Oklahoma’s public schools by allowing donors to give to designated educational improvement projects at the district of their choice and then reduce their state tax bill through a tax credit.

“We are thrilled to have a public education champion with such a depth of knowledge and experience leading the Oklahoma Public Schools Foundation,” said OKPSF Board President Joe Siano. “We’re excited to have Dana at the helm of this new organization that is going to have a tremendous positive impact on our public schools.”

Renner most recently worked as a national education consultant, partnering with school districts across the country to strengthen leadership and teacher capacity, strategic planning and systems improvement. She has previously served as a teacher, instructional coach, principal, director and assistant superintendent in public schools across central Oklahoma.

“I’m passionate about supporting educators, strengthening schools and expanding opportunities for students throughout Oklahoma,” Renner said. “It’s an honor to join an organization with such a powerful mission, and I look forward to working with district leaders to maximize support for public schools.”

Throughout her career, Renner has led transformational improvement efforts in both urban and suburban school systems, helping schools achieve national recognition for collaborative cultures, continuous improvement and student success. The Oklahoma City native was named Oklahoma State Middle School Principal of the Year and represented Oklahoma at the National Association of Secondary School Principals Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C. She has served on several state and local leadership and advisory committees and is a former trustee of the Deer Creek Public Schools Foundation.
